Legend (18) - Patchy but powerful biopic of 60s London's most famous gangsters, Ronnie & Reggie Kray. The acting is electric: not just a snarling Tom Hardy playing both twins but also David Thewlis, Christopher Eccleston and Paul Bettany.
Irrational Man (12A) - Woody Allen makes yet another movie about getting away with murder but the chalk-and-cheese pairing of Joaquin Phoenix and Emma Stone, plus the breezy New England setting, make this more watchable than most.
45 Years (15) - In the week before their 45th Wedding Anniversary, a happily married couple uncover long buried secrets that threaten to suddenly ruin their long marriage. Charlotte Rampling gives one of the performances of the year in this deceptively simple, Norfolk-set drama.
