James King gives his opinion on the best movies to watch this weekend with his weekly Top Movie Picks.
45 Years (15) - In the week before their 45th Wedding Anniversary, a happily married couple uncover long buried secrets that threaten to suddenly ruin their long marriage. Charlotte Rampling gives one of the performances of the year in this deceptively simple, Norfolk-set drama.
Me and Earl and the Dying Girl (12A) - Proudly quirky and ultimately uplifting story of a teenage boy's friendship with an ill classmate. Look out for the plethora of movie in-jokes and wallow in the atmospheric Brian Eno soundtrack.
Straight Outta Compton (15) - Their story might be more worthy of a mini-series than a movie but this biopic of rap pioneers NWA makes up for occasional airbrushing with a powerful commitment to the power of political music-making.
