Earlier this year, Moira Stuart joined Classic FM as the new presenter of their morning news bulletins. This weekend, Moira takes on an expanded role on the station, hosting the first episode of her new, weekly concert programme, which celebrates the music voted into the world’s biggest poll of classical music tastes: the Classic FM Hall of Fame.
Every week, Moira will feature complete performances of some of the most popular pieces of classical music, all played by the world’s finest soloists and ensembles. This opening programme begins with Handel’s Arrival of the Queen Sheba before featuring recordings from some of the finest musicians of the last century: among them, Maria Callas, Vladimir Ashkenazy and Jacqueline du Pré.
Join Moira Stuart for her new Hall of Fame Concert this Saturday, 7th July from 3pm on Classic FM.
