The BBC response to the DCMS Select Committee report names the changes it intends to make going forward to put right all that has gone wrong. If only they had paid attention to our concerns when changes in attitudes to presenters and new ways of contracting started more than ten years ago so many people would not have had their lives shattered. We warned previous BBC management that journalists and presenters were being treated unfairly over pay assessment and Personal Service Companies and we were consistently and aggressively warned off over many years. So many of these mistakes could have been avoided. We are relieved at last to have it all in the open but it has taken far too many years.
